Timberline release notes#
The downloadable Timberline demo system is published on its own cadence, separate from Reportworq releases. It is content, not product, so it can be corrected and extended without waiting for a server release.
Changes to the demo system are recorded here as they are published. The download band on the documentation home page always carries the current version and date.

Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint and GitHub are now removed, not just switched off. The previous release shipped them disabled, which still left four tiles on Settings ▸ Integrations that read as something Reportworq had set up for you and turned off. Switching one on only produced a failure this demo cannot resolve, because the credential behind it is yours to supply, not ours. They are gone from the list. Delivery in the demo is Email and Network Folder, the two destinations that need no account of your own.
Nothing is lost by their absence. Reportworq supports all four, and the catalog of integration types belongs to the product rather than to this demo. To use one, open Settings ▸ Integrations, select Add integration, pick it from the catalog and enter your own details. You get a clean connection instead of a half-configured one to unpick. See Integrations hub for that flow.
Timberline Sales Information reads correctly again. Two faults are fixed. The Sales by Product
tab was malformed, so opening the workbook in Excel prompted a repair and the tab was lost in it; the
product itself read the file, which is why the report still ran. And the YOY Var % and YOY Var $
columns showed 0 and a divide-by-zero error on all five tabs, because the year and prior-year totals
they compare were never in the data the tabs look up. The tab is rebuilt and both totals now resolve,
so the year-over-year block shows real variances. That same data is the answer layer the AI assistant
and the MCP server read, so their answers about year-over-year trend are now grounded in it.
Sales Rep Scorecard prints properly. The TEAM ATTAINMENT caption was cut off by a column too narrow to hold it, and the team page ran wider than the paper. The column is widened, the page is set to portrait and fitted to the page width, and a working column that was never meant to be read is hidden.
The Revenue Review tab shows the report, not its wiring. The control block that drives that tab is hidden, so the Excel and PDF output of Board Packet with Division Slides and Divisional Packet no longer carries the cells that parameterize it.

The demo system has been trimmed to the content that runs anywhere, with nothing in it that needs a data source, a cloud account or an app registration before you can try it.
Delivery is Email and Network Folder only. Those are the two destinations that need no setup at all. The Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint and GitHub distributors ship switched off - each needs a credential or an app registration of your own - and the one job that delivered to them has been removed. Turn any of them on once you have entered your own details.
Removed reports.
- Commission Statements - its source workbook lived on a network folder on the demo host, so it could not run from a downloaded package. It will return once that is settled; bursting is still demonstrated end to end by Sales Rep Scorecard, in What bursting looks like.
- Financial Statements - SharePoint - delivered to SharePoint, OneDrive and Google Sheets, none of which work without your own tenant.
- Board Packet - redundant. Board Packet with Division Slides builds the same deck from the same template and workbook, with the same email, and additionally shows slide replication; it is now the board-deck example throughout the guide.
- Two internal test fixtures that were hidden rather than removed: an output-examples variant of Financial Statements, and a data-validation check.
Removed source files. Source Files now holds the eight workbooks and decks the guide describes and
nothing else - LargeContributionForm.xlsx, Timberline Note.docx, Variancecheck.xlsx and the
commission workbook have gone with the jobs and fixtures that used them.
Removed campaign. An internal Sales Compensation test fixture. The Segment & Channel Budget Input campaign, the one the guide walks through, is unchanged.
No connection to a planning model is left anywhere. Parameter value lists that still resolved against Planning Analytics - including the campaign's own form parameters and the MarketControl secured list - are now static lists carrying the same values, so opening them shows how they are configured instead of failing to reach a server. The secured list keeps every one of its group mappings.
AI ships switched off. The OpenAI integration previously showed as enabled with no key, so every call failed. Enter your own key and enable it.
Five reports, ten jobs in all, one campaign, eight source files. Everything that remains resolves and runs with no data source to connect.
