Reportworq Preview Releases are provided in between official releases when needed to address support issues. Excel formulas

This release we did a lot of work cleaning up the formula surface: every formula now follows a single, consistent RW.Category.Action naming convention, grouped by purpose. We also introduced several new formulas, extended RW.Tools.Sort, and updated the Excel add-in to show every formula directly in Excel's formula editor — complete with argument hints and inline documentation. The legacy names (shown in parentheses) are still fully supported for backward compatibility.

New PowerPoint Addin

A new Office 365 PowerPoint Add-in is now available. This add-in is designed for Reportworq Administrators to create PowerPoint template files. Additionally, recipients can use it to refresh the contents of a PowerPoint presentation that is linked to a Reportworq job. New licensing options are also available for PowerPoint end users to utilize this add-in.

New Excel Reporting Addin

The Reportworq Office 365 Excel Add-in has been enhanced to include a new report writer experience. This feature allows users to connect to and report on data from various relational and API-based data sources. New licensing options are available for Excel users to access the Reporting add-in.

Known Issues

There is a known issue with this release's latest version of Aspose. Jobs that use the RWSQL formula and are configured to import data into an Excel Table that contains a calculated column will generate #N/A values when processed by Reportworq. A hotfix will be released for this as soon as it's available.

Slack has announced that it will deprecate an API that Reportworq uses on March 11, 2025. Earlier Reportworq versions used this API method to upload files to Slack channels, and this deprecation will impact anyone using Slack as a distribution destination for reports. In version 5.0.0.80, we've updated to the newer API methods. To continue using Slack, you will need to update Reportworq to version 5.0.0.80.
