What Reportworq is#

Reportworq is an enterprise reporting and distribution platform. Planning systems are excellent at collecting budgets, forecasts, and actuals and at building financial plans. What they generally do not do is get that information into the hands of the people who need it to run the business. Reportworq fills that gap.

Reportworq turns the reports finance already builds into governed, trusted assets that refresh, personalize, and deliver themselves, so your team gets its analysis time back.

The problem it solves#

In a small organization, reporting is manageable: someone builds a spreadsheet, saves a version, and emails it or drops it on a shared drive. As an organization grows, that breaks down. Picture a retailer with a thousand stores. Every store manager needs a personalized view, every regional manager needs different information, and executives need consolidated numbers. Finance ends up creating, personalizing, and distributing thousands of reports, and if a single number changes the whole process starts again. That is operational overhead, not value creation.

Reportworq automates that entire process. An author builds one report, and the platform refreshes the data, personalizes each copy, and delivers every output on time, without anyone assembling and emailing files by hand.

Meet people where they already are#

The people who need the information are often not the people who work inside the planning system. Sales leaders, department managers, executives, HR leaders, operational teams, and even external partners need the information, not a seat in the planning platform. Buying more planning-system licenses is rarely the right answer.

So Reportworq delivers instead of inviting. It sends finished reports to email, Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint, network folders, and more, as PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, or rich HTML. Rather than forcing people into another application, Reportworq meets them where they already work.

Not finance-only#

Finance is the primary use case because finance already has standardized, repeatable reporting, but Reportworq is not limited to financial data. Any standardized report that is built once and needs to go out on a regular cadence, operational reporting, HR, sales operations, executive flash reports, fits the same pattern. Reportworq is strongest in financial reporting today and extends naturally into any workflow where enterprise information must move reliably between systems and people.

Coming full circle: contribution#

Distribution sends information out. Contribution brings it back.

A contribution campaign turns a report into an input form. You send it to the people who own the numbers, a cost-center manager, a regional lead, a department head, and they fill in their part: a forecast, a headcount plan, a commentary field. Reportworq collects what they submit, routes it for approval where you need one, and writes the approved values back into the planning system.

That closes the loop. The same governed report that goes out as a PDF can come back as a form, so the round trip from "here are your numbers" to "here is my plan" happens in one platform, with the same security and the same audit trail. Nobody is reconciling emailed spreadsheets. See Contribution overview.

The AI layer#

Reportworq connects your people, and their AI chat clients, to the reports you have already built and curated.

That is a deliberately narrow claim, and the narrowness is the point. Reportworq's AI does not try to reconstruct your business model, invent data queries nobody can validate, answer questions it has no grounds to answer, or burn tokens exploring your data warehouse. It sits on top of reports that finance has already approved.

What you get from that:

Governed throughout#

Reportworq is a governed platform. Reports live in a shared workspace with security, scheduling, run history, and audit logs, so an organization can see who can run what, when a report last ran, and where its outputs went. That governance is what makes both of the above safe: contribution writes back through it, and AI answers from within it.
